**********************************************
Due to Circumstances beyond our control we had to postpone our
Conference until February 6, 2010 in order to ensure key vendors could
be here and to make sure we can have a family event.
Instead a Conference Call was held in its place featuring Diane McAravey
and followed by Ann Agent giving a brief overview introduction to
homeschooling, it also was opened to questions and answers.
For a limited time, access to the recorded call is available. Click the link
for May 2, 2009 for the instructions on how to access the recording.
We are seeking coordinators to help plan the Feb 6th Family Conference

We're pleased to announce the theme for the upcoming 2009 Conference:
"Every Needful Thing"
D&C 88:119
Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God;

* Sat, May 2 2009 "Every Needful Thing" Conference
********************************************
We've been working on this Conference, and hopefully
the main page on the LDS-OHEA.org website has reminded
you to save the date and plan to come...finally we have
the registration page and some of the details up.
We AIM to keep this even a "Family" one, so that
you can learn together! See our note below, to find out
how to help with the conference.
Featuring LauraMaery Gold, Home Schooling Parent and
author of the book 'How to Home School for Free' will
be sharing with us her experience and insights into
how to be WISE with our resources.
Workshops include:
** 'By the Sweat of thy Brow" how to Teach
Children to Work -- by Heidi Schulz,
She began learning the value of Family Work as a
young child born to parents who did not understand
the concept of "sleeping in". Heidi and her siblings
spent countless childhood hours picking raspberries,
weeding and watering a garden, gathering fallen
walnuts, and canning produce.
** Home School 102
Now that you've taken the plunge, here's the ultimate
forum to find out if you want to stick with it...
Its not like you expected it, and you don't want to
quit just yet....Come address your frustrations and
concerns in this interactive group discussion.
** Involving the Family in Preparedness
With such a push to get our 'houses in order' stocking
up is only one small piece. Play the "Self-Reliance
Game" so your children will learn the essentials
of being prepared and more willing to help you in
the process!
Closing Keynote: Diane McAravey
-- A Mother of 6 (5 of them BOYS) she'll share with us
her journey that "Every Needful Thing" does change as
children grow. How she adapted and also needed the
inspiration from the Lord -- and the blessings
she's encountered along the way.
Registration is now available, and we will continue
to add details on classes and vendors as we finalize
details!
Click on the Conference link at www.LDS-OHEA.org
for more info and to register.
